What is Chung Yeung Festival?  According to the Chinese Lunar calendar, Chung Yeung day falls on the 9th day of the 9th month. It is also known as Double-Ninth . This is a Memorial Day for families to remember their loved ones, similar to Ching Ming day in the spring.   認識 火葬  21世紀隨着人口結構，生活模式的轉變，殮葬模式的趨勢亦產生新 的變化。 傳統的歸土丶入土為安丶棺木安葬的習俗已經漸漸被火葬取代。 在北美火葬專業協會2022年 度 統計報告中顯示，加拿大2021 年的死亡數字為309,718 ，當中有74.8%選擇火葬。美國2021年的死亡數字為3,3 88,138。當中有57.5%選擇火葬。家庭選擇火葬的趨勢不 斷上升。 什麼是火葬？ 其實很多人對火葬的認識不多。火葬是, 整個殮葬過程中的其中一部份 。 火葬是, 將遺體準備安 葬 之前的一個程序；火葬是, 將遺體轉化的一個過程；藉着華氏1600至2000度的熱和高溫 在2至4小時之內轉化成為 骸骨 ，再處理成骨灰。 火葬場設計分為兩部份，以一列大玻璃窗分隔。前部份裝修簡潔雅致 ，與客廳一樣，主要供家人及親友前來送別時的聚集地方。後半部份 則像工業上的裝修，裏面會裝置火葬室（ Chamber ）是用來進行火化的火化爐，遺體存放室以及其他工作間。 每個地方的殮葬法例都有所不同。B C省法例規定，先人在離世48小時之後才可進行火化，特殊情況除 外。火化時，遺體必須以密封容器（火化用的箱子或棺木） 存放才可進行火化。如果先人生前有安裝心臟起搏器， 則必須先行移除。 火化後先人的骸骨會從火葬室移走，並放在容器內冷卻，然後再進一 步處理成為骨灰。 是否取回全部骨灰？ 是，一般骨灰的重量為四至八磅，視乎先人的骨密度而定。火化後的 骨灰會被放入厚身的塑料袋內，連同火化的號碼牌，用索帶綁好， 再放在紙盒 丶 臨時骨灰龕丶或家人預先選購的骨灰龕內，然後交回給 平安書執行人，或合法代表人處 置 或安葬。 是否火葬比土葬便宜？ 不一定！這完全視乎選擇什麼告別儀式。 一、傳統告別禮或安息禮, 後火化 Traditional Service～ 這個選擇跟傳統告別禮的安排一樣，一般前一晚有守夜，安息禮當 日有禮堂儀式，棺木 會 在安放在禮堂中間，給親友瞻仰遺容， 或作最後告別。安息禮後，靈柩會 被 送往火葬場進行火化。 家屬可選擇一同前往送別，見證火葬儀式。 二丶先火葬，然後追思會或追悼會 Memorial Service～ 追思會一般在火葬後才進行。禮堂內會擺放先人的照片、骨灰龕、 以及一些悼念先人的紀念品、照片或擺設……等等表達對先人的悼念 。 三、沒有任何禮堂儀式，直...
