Why have a Funeral or Celebration of Life service?

Q: Why have a Funeral or Celebration of Life service?

A: A Funeral or Celebration of Life is a ceremony and gathering of people who share a common loss. It can be an order of services according to the deceased’s ritual, culture, and religion; it can be creative format of activities with lots of flexibility to set up and focus on the story of the deceased.
A funeral process establishes personal significance of the one who passed away. It gives time and permission to the family members and friends to share, to remember, to love and to grieve. During the viewing and paying the last respect, family and friends experience and accept the reality of a death of their loved one and bring to a closure. It is a very difficult moment, but it is also an important part of a healing and comforting process.
